From reinterpreted architectural ornaments to expansive ink drawings transformed through digital innovation, each design challenges convention while honouring craft. Produced in collaboration with Montreal's digital printing specialists Numérart, this debut collection celebrates the endless possibilities of pattern.

The collection, called Infinite Trouble, merges traditional motifs with contemporary mark-making in six distinctive patterns. The name comes from an 1895 architectural drawing manual that encouraged students facing precision exercises to persist, noting that "infinite trouble is the mother of genius." Rather than following the manual's meticulous instructions, I chose to redraw these historical ornaments in a more spontaneous style, creating patterns that honor tradition while embracing contemporary expression. The collection is produced locally in Montreal through a collaboration with Numérart, ensuring exceptional quality control and customization possibilities.

Inspiration Infinite Trouble merges traditional motifs with contemporary mark-making. The collection draws from both architectural ornaments and expressive drawing, creating an intriguing dialogue between historical reference and artistic exploration. Three patterns reimagine 19th-century architectural elements and the classic fleur de lis, while three others emerge from large-scale ink drawings, presenting a fresh interpretation of pattern for contemporary interiors.

Production Process Created in partnership with Montreal's digital printing specialists Numérart, each pattern maintains the integrity of original hand-drawn marks while achieving exceptional print quality. This local collaboration ensures superior color consistency and precise pattern matching.
